James Patterson Womens Murder Club PC Detective Games List

James Patterson Womens Murder Club PC Detective Games List
There are currently four murder detective PC games in the Women's Murder Club computer game series. Based on the characters from the books of the US best-selling crime fiction author James Patterson (which was also made into a US TV series). The Womens Murder Club is made up of 3 women who combine forces to put their unique skills and professional talents to solve murder mysteries: Lindsay (police officer), Claire (forensic medical examiner) and Cindy (investigative reporter). In all the 4 WMC games you will get to play the 3 characters, who take it turns to use their specific skills to collect clues, investigate scenes and question suspects.
For me, these murder mystery games combine hidden object scenes with minigame puzzles of forensic labwork and detective activities (professional and amateur) to create some of the best examples of murder mystery adventure games for PC (and one for Mac)! Plus I like the colour theme in the game titles.

All the games below have a free downloadable demo - click on the links below for the relevant detective game to get either the full or free version downloads. Included also is my quick review and my score rating out of 5 stars.

James Patterson Women's Murder Club: Death in Scarlet
* Game genre: hidden object, puzzle
* Downloads available online: Free demo/full version PC/Mac
* Plot: A morning jog presents a chilling find, and a new wave of fear descends upon San Francisco. Enter the world of James Patterson, Americas #1 storyteller, and study murder scenes as Lindsay Boxer, Claire Washburn, and hotshot crime reporter Cindy Thomas. Find hidden objects inside nine investigations, brain-bending puzzles, strikingly-beautiful artwork, and an all-new spine tingling storyline. Discover the truth and stop a psychotic killer in Womens Murder Club: Death in Scarlet.
* Released 2008 by I-play
* My review: The depiction of the WMC main characters, the graphics, music and story are come together very well in this murder mystery game. The only downside for me were the minigames that were repetitive and too easy. But still a worthwhile game for fans of forensic and detective games. My rating: ★ ★ ★ ★

James Patterson Women's Murder Club: A Darker Shade of Grey
* Game genre: hidden object, puzzle

* Plot: An unidentified body is found on a rocky beach… was it an accident, or was it murder? The heroines of Women’s Murder Club are back. This time they must uncover secrets surrounding a recent murder at a prestigious Southern military academy. Investigate each crime scene with a professional eye. Take pictures and samples for examination back to the lab. Solve challenging puzzles and interrogate suspects to reveal the true killer in this thrilling adventure!
* Released 06 August 2009 by I-play
* For further details of the game, see my previous post: Women's Murder Club: A Darker Shade of Grey Review.
* My review: This second murder investigation game in the Womens Murder Club series is of a good length with interesting unique gameplay and excellent graphics. Which in combination with the murder mystery was quite involving. However, the cutscenes (that fill in the detail of each chapter of the murder investigation) were quite long and unfortunately you cannot skip them - this tended to lessen the momentum of the game. And some of the puzzles, though more creative than usual, they were not too challenging. Overall, a good detective game, but there are better ones in the series. My rating: ★ ★ ★

James Patterson's Women's Murder Club: Twice in a Blue Moon

Leading police on an intense chase, there is little time to stop a killer before he strikes again in Women’s Murder Club: Twice in a Blue Moon! Unravel a murderer’s tribute to the past by uncovering clues, gathering facts and revealing his identity before it’s too late. Immerse yourself in this thrilling Hidden Object game!
* Released 24 September 2009 by I-play
* For further details of the game, see my previous post: Womens Murder Club: Twice in a Blue Moon Review.
* My review: This is a better detective game than the previous episode in the series. With an eerie atmosphere, challenging hidden object and puzzle games that are in-keeping with the storyline. The graphics and sound enhance the dark tense atmosphere as you progress through the murder investigation - some of the scenes are very realistic and beautifully done. An excellent detective game. Only gripe is that sometimes the HOG items were too well-hidden and I had to use the hints alot. My rating: ★ ★ ★ ★

Become part of the investigation as Lindsay, Claire and Cindy follow Regina’s trail in hopes of piecing together the missing links in Women’s Murder Club – Little Black Lies, an exciting Hidden Object game.
* Released 25 October 2010 by I-play
* My review: For me this is the best detective game of the WMC series. A very engaging story that pulls you in from the beginning and excellent gameplay - well-designed, challenging and logically placed. Plus the graphics are well done, even better than the previous games in the Womens Murder Club series. A top PC detective game that crime fans should definitely check out! My rating: My rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
